Transept is an AI translation workspace for people who care how their writing sounds in another language: authors translating their own books, academics translating papers, translators, and content teams.

Upload a DOCX, EPUB, PDF, Markdown or text file, or import from Notion or Google Drive. Transept translates it into any of 68 languages and shows the original and the translation side by side. A glossary keeps character names and terms the same from the first page to the last, a style guide holds the voice, and translation memory reuses every decision you approve, across documents and teammates.

You stay the author. Rewrite any sentence with an instruction like "more formal" or "keep the metaphor", ask for alternatives, or let Literess, the built-in AI literary editor, point out where the tone has gone flat. Smart Proofread checks the translation against the source before you export.

Exports keep the layout: a Word file stays a Word file, an EPUB stays a book, and a PDF comes back as the same page. Every document keeps an originality report of what the AI wrote and what you changed.

Pricing: a free plan with 5,500 credits a month, then Lite at €9/$10, Starter at €29/$33 and Pro at €79/$90 a month. Credit packs from €19/$22 never expire. Standard mode costs 1 credit per source word.

Your text is never used to train AI. The app is hosted in Germany.
