About
Synchrium is a shared countdown for people working apart. Everyone joins a room, the same timer runs across every peer (server-authoritative over a SignalR WebSocket, so no client drift), and you work in silence. When the count hits zero, cameras and mics can come up together for a few minutes. We call that the reunion. Then you go again.
It came out of two things: helping my kid with homework from the next room over a shared timer, and wondering why remote work has meetings and async but nothing in between. No way to just be at work together, quietly.
Timing is server-authoritative, so clients render the clock but never own it. Video is P2P WebRTC with DTLS-SRTP and media never touches our servers (TURN relay when NAT wins, still end-to-end encrypted). Multi-party rooms ride an SFU. Anonymous sessions require no account, since the room is just a link.
Free tier is 3 timers/day with no signup. Pro is $5/mo. There's a REST API for rooms, webhooks and personal access tokens at /developers.
