About
ProductRebase is a community of digital product development professionals. Built by the community, for the community. And it’s free!
I have worked in digital product development for twenty years and have been thinking about how the product development community is massively underserved in terms of places that they can go to learn, share and grow.
I have some free time on my hands at the moment, and so I wanted to tackle two main problems.
The first is the siloed approach to support within our community. So if you are a Developer or QA, there is obviously Stack Overflow. But that has seen postings plummet recently, likely due to the explosion of AI tools. But even so, you seldom see a UXer or a Product Owner contributing to any of the discussions there. Similarly, on Reddit, in [r/ProductOwner](https://www.reddit.com/r/ProductOwner/), you don't find many devs.
Some indepth technical discussions might not attract a wide audience of job titles, but would it not be useful to have input from Product Managers, QAs, Engineering Managers, or UXers on the majority of product development topics? Getting different perspectives is so important in Product Development.
So, Product Rebase has forums, blogs and AMAs, to gather input from a wide range of the people in our community.
The second is understanding the makeup of Product Teams. LinkedIN gives us who works where, but not who works on each Product, at least, not easily. Have you ever been using a Product and wanted, in the moment, to reach out to the PM, the Lead QA, the UX Designer? It might be because you have spotted a bug, have a brilliant feature idea, or to learn how they did a certain thing.
So Rebase also has the concept of Product Teams at it's core. Not just the scrum definition of Product Teams though, it extends to what I am calling the 'Supporting Crew', as those outside the immediate team have essential input too - including Architects, Heads of Engineering, Chief PO's, everyone
