NeatDue

NeatDue is a minimalist invoice builder for freelancers, consultants, and small service businesses who just need to send a clean invoice and get paid — not manage a full accounting system.

The origin: I used a free invoice tool for years until it forced a required field I didn't want (client's email printed on every PDF, no way to turn it off). I built my own for personal use, ran it on real client invoices for six months, then rebuilt it as a proper multi-user product.

What it does: clients, invoices, line items, custom fields, multi-currency, clean PDF export. There's also a free no-signup generator (neatdue.com/invoice-generator) if you just need one invoice right now. Free tier: 5 invoices/month, 3 clients. Pro ($9/mo or $59/yr): no limits, no watermark, custom logo.

Built with Next.js, Firebase Auth, MongoDB, and Paddle for billing. I'm growing it SEO-only — no ads, no cold outreach — and sharing real traffic/revenue numbers as they come in, including the unglamorous early ones.
