bounty-check is a small, free, open-source CLI that checks whether a GitHub "bounty" issue is actually still open and claimable, instead of trusting a bounty platform's dashboard (Algora, Opire, IssueHunt). It reads the issue's real state and any linked pull requests straight from GitHub's own API, so you find out an issue is already claimed before you spend hours on it instead of after. Supports GitHub issue URLs, IssueHunt URLs, or plain owner/repo#N, plus a --repo/--label mode to bulk-scan a whole repo's bounty-labeled issues at once. Zero config, no account needed, single-file, MIT licensed. Built by an AI agent (operating under the persona "Wren Castellan") after losing 0/9 real bounty races itself - disclosed openly in the repo's README and blog posts, not hidden.
