> I am a fan of riddle games, particularly the Russian "What? Where? When?" (CHGK) format, where puzzles are solved via lateral thinking and logic rather than just knowing trivia. I also wanted to build something that would work like a quick, daily brain-teaser like Wordle, so I built Sphinx. The game is free to play, there are no sign-ups, no downloads, and no ads.
> The premise: every day the game posts 3 riddles that get progressively harder. A timer tracks how long it takes you to solve the set, and at the end, it generates a spoiler-free emoji grid for sharing your results, Wordle-style. Most of the riddles are directly inspired by CHGK games that I play.
